Janet G. Shira, A.I.C.P. and James W. Shira, P.E. started B&H Consultants in the Spring of 2000 in an effort to use their widely varied experience to assist local governments. 

B&H Consultants is a full-service consulting firm.   Although small in size, our firm is committed to providing valuable assistance.  

Robin Harris joined B&H Consultants in 2006.  As a Native Floridian and Lake County resident for most of her life, Robin brings a vast amount of local knowledge to her work. Before joining B&H, Robin worked 8 years in municipal government.  Her earlier experience includes assisting in the administration of code enforcement and occupational licensing as well as building plans review and permitting.  Robin’s computer aptitude led to a promotion and she spent the last 5 years in the information systems department designing and maintaining their web site in addition to assisting employees with computer software training and troubleshooting.

Erin Provenzale is the newest team member at B&H Consultants.  Erin is a valuable addition to the firm, allowing B&H to now provide in-house GIS services to its clients.  Erin also brings significant knowledge of growth management at the State level, having worked as a Community Planner for the Florida Department of Community Affairs.  Her insight has greatly assisted clients with transmitting various comprehensive plan amendments and Evaluation and Appraisal Reports (EARs).

We specialize in a full range of consulting services including land planning, capital projects planning, grant writing, and general administrative assistance. 

We are an Engineering Firm licensed by the State of Florida (Certificate of Authorization # 9452).

B&H Consultants currently provides continuing consultant services to the City of Edgewater, the Town of Howey-in-the-Hills, the City of Groveland, and the Town of Windermere.
